You had a few questions, I have a few answers...

In the last few days I received a couple of questions that thanks to the frenzy in my day job, I could not answer until today. Instead of replying the e-mails, I'm going to answer them here - because I know that more people must have similar questions...

Why you don't review more air dolls?
A: I don't review many air dolls because I am not a big fan of them. For me, air dolls are kind of boring - no change in position, many have faces that seemed to be drawn by 5 years old with Parkinson's Disease, and most of them are TOTALLY different of what you can expect by looking at the package (just check my review for the J-Ho doll).

The only inflatables that I recommend (and I keep in my collection) are either classic anime dolls which has been around for a while (Yumi anime doll, Serika, Kawai Rimi), kinky clear dolls (all Japanese), or high end inflatables like the Inked Sofia  which are great values if you can get them below $100.

How many toys do you have? How much money had you spent?
A: Honestly, I stopped counting a year ago! I know I have 20 solid dolls (including torsos), and bins full of Fleshlights and other toys.

I have no idea how much money I have in rubber pussies, but I purchase about 95% of the toys I review. I only buy during big sales where I save at least 30% from the retail price, so a budget of $200 per purchase can go a long way!

Why do you use a mask for the video reviews?
A: Simple - I have a regular, conservative job. My employer would not like having one of its employees associated with discussions about masturbation, pornography, and sex in general, so I use the mask to protect my identity (and my job).

Which  is the best doll?
A: It is impossible to say which doll is the best because it depends on what you like and want. There are so many options in materials, sizes, looks, and weights that saying that ONE doll is the best is impossible.

Now, if you are new to the doll scene, I recommend the Meiki Plush Doll because it is not too expensive and allows you to use a wide range of toys as inserts.  If the Meiki Plush Doll and its lack of head, arms, and legs is too creepy for you, get either a plush doll (Teddy Babes or Anime) or one of the new Chinese TPE dolls. Silicone dolls are beautiful and realistic, but they are expensive, delicate, and heavy. It is common to see guys spending five or  six grand on a silicone doll, wait months for it and then selling it after a few weeks because they realize dolls are not for them.

Which one is the best toy?
A: Again, with so many options in the market, it is impossible to point at a toy and say it is the best one in the market. In my personal opinion the ToMax lines - Succubus, Lillith, and Venus - are the best options in the market. They are available with a variety of textures and with four different firmness levels. Add a relative low price (the most expensive are the Venus and they are below $60 in the USA), and you cannot go wrong.

Those dolls are expensive! Where can you buy them cheaper?
A: Believe it or not, there is an used doll market on the web - 15 of my dolls are second / third hand dolls! You can check on the biggest flea-market in the world - ebay.com - under the Adult Only section or in the Sales sections of the two major doll forums: The Doll Forum and Our Doll Community. Looking carefully, you can get dolls in excellent shape for half or third of their resale price. Also, many vendors keep a presence in one or both forums, giving special prices to members on factory seconds (new dolls with cosmetic defects).

Are you married?
A: No, I am happily single. I have had a few relationships in the last few years, but they had ended for one reason or another (never related to my use of toys and dolls).

If you look like Jennifer Lopez, Asia Akira, Halle Berry, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lawrence, AJ Lee, or similar please send your photo and application to casqueteronyc@gmail.com. I will easily change my status!

No, YOU DON'T LOOK like Jennifer Lawrence!

Responding to a long comment...

Sometimes I receive questions on the Comments sections that deserve their own answer posts. This comment from 4n0nym0us had so many questions in it that I decided to dedicate a post to answer them. His text is in bold italic font, mine in normal...

"Thank you very much, Casquetero, for your effort to put your opinions of all these toys together. It is defintely amongst the best sources for information on certain masturabtor on the web. Your blog was one of the deciding factors for me to buy Meiki Plush and Busty Aichan which basically changed my masturbation habits for the better."

Thanks for the accolades. This is a hobby that had taken a life of its own and its great to read that it is improving peoples lives in one way or another.

"I own 2 fleshlights (Lotus and Twista) and the spider masturbator , basically a Korean fleshlight with very similar material but a more realistic texture plus a suction cap. All these are open-ended for easy cleaning and I'm happy with them except for the Lotus which was my first one and I could never fully enjoy).

I have seen the Spider in Eden Fantasies, but with a price of $120, I did not find anything special about it to shell out that much money for a FL copy. Now that Fleshlight has their own shower mounts, I not even look at it! The Lotus is maybe the worst texture developed by Fleshlight - smooth, temperamental, and only fully enjoyable if you are hung like a Centaur - but I had been able to find a soft spot for it and enjoy what I can from it.

I am going to order several new several new fleshlight sleeves (Nipple Alley, Destroya, Bi-Hive, Dragon, Heavenly and probably EU Vortex). Mainly because I want to increase my stamina with the high intensity sleeves (rarely do I ever reach 20-30 minute long sessions) , I definitely need more variety and I love the easy maintenance. It's about time to get new sensations as my Lotus is from early 2009 and even has a firmer and more pink-ish material compared to the Twista from late 2010 (I guess they used the same material composition as with the regular pink fleshlights and later shifted to a softer composition for the Girls line. Did you experience this also?)

That is an impressive selection... It has some intense textures (Nipple Alley, Destroya, Bi-Hive) and Dragon and Heavenly which are more mid-level in stimulation. The Vortex is a good variable texture, but remember that it has a long break-in period. I bought my first FLG on 2010, so I got them with the softer flesh color. Although ILF always keep saying that the material is exactly the same, the FLG line had always felt softer to me (and most users).

But now I also want to experience some more realistic Japanese sleeves that are closed for the suction effect. In particular Tomax's sleeves. As I have the Busty-Aichan which is supposed to have the same succubus material for the outer layer, I want to know if the onahole sleeves also are a bit greasy and constantly "bleed" small amounts of oil. Or is this just due to the inner gel that make the breasts so soft? I'd have to wrap them with plastic bags every time I use them with the Meiki Plush.

All these sleeves have that "bleeding" issue, even Fleshlights. The masturbators from ToMax suffer from the same problem, although it is easily controlled with some cornstarch over the material. The cornstarch will reduce the visible "bleeding", but it is a commen issue with all toys made from elastomeric gels and even silicone.

Then there's the problem of deciding which hardness to get..
Whats the equivalent in hardness level of (regular) Busty Aichan's outer layer? The "Regular" I guess?
I'm mainly interested in the Venus Clone because of the thick walls, the nice upward arc of the tunnel, the dots (similar ones are also in the Spider) and the Lilith Uterus for the organic texture, the cervix and the supposedly great vacuum effect.

I guess I would buy them in different hardness levels to get some more variety for my collection and to get an overview of the material characteristics for possible future purchases from Tomaxx.

The hardness levels are like follows:
  • Hard - Very similar to toys from Toys Heart (Busty Nurse, 17 Evo, 17 Bordeaux)
  • Regular - Very similar to Fleshlights
  • Soft - Similar to Meiki XZY and Meiki Sarah
  • Very Soft - Similar to Meiki Maria Ozawa
I think the Busty's exterior layer is regular firmness, but it would be my best guess.

So I thought about getting the Lilith in soft for maximum realism and the Venus in hard to get the full effect of the dots and to train stamina (When using my preferred lube Rends Peace's - which is rather thick but veeery long lasting - with the Spider I often can't even feel the dots at all).

Can you still recommend these sleeve/hardness combinations to someone with - at present - rather poor stamina, or would you suggest otherwise. Maybe you have bought the same sleeves in different hardnesses in the meantime?

The problem is that I'm from Europe and there's just one dealer (Omochadreams) for those products. Tomax's stuff costs literally double the price (!!) than in the US. So trying out Succubus in all three hardness levels is not an option (too expensive and those sleeves don't appeal to me).

I would get the least stimulating texture in the regular while the most stimulant in the soft / very soft - but I have a good stamina. I recently tried the Clone in the very soft firmness level and it felt extremely real when placed in the Meiki Plush doll. But the very soft is not for everyone - specially if you want to experience intensity.

Your plan seems to be a good one to develop stamina, specially with the high cost of Tomax products in Europe. Just remember to thin your favorite lube when using the Lillith Uterus because the texture is very subtle, so you need a rather thin lube to feel it. The Clone in the Hard firmness levels sounds like a lot of fun trying to hold that load!

Have you ever heard about or tried the "Tong-Ggo" ? Pretty curious about that as I have heard only positive reviews about that anal onahole which seems to be far superior that the Fleshlight Forbidden. Maybe something to add on your RPP list if you're interested.

You are the third person who mentions the Tong-Ggo in the last weeks. I haven't tried it yet... and to be honest, I haven't considered it for the simple reason it is a ribbed texture and all the reviews I have read compare it with the Forbidden - which is a smooth texture. Comparing these two toys is unfair unless you compare them to real anal sex... and I had never been a big fan of it.

Still, I am starting to get curious about the Tong-Ggo. Don't be surprised that I add it to the RPP in a few months!

Thanks in advance for your help and keep the reviews coming!

Answering another round of questions...

Well, I had been "free" the last two days thanks to Sandy and the mess she left in the NYC transportation system, so why not answering another round of questions from you guys? Lets go and kill some time!

Q: "Why you use company photos? Why don't you take your own photos? Can you have videos on your site?" by Various

I could take my own photos for the reviews and film video reviews - if I had the time. Unfortunately, I don't have time for that: I have a full time job, assist to graduate school, and I'm trying to keep something that resembles a social life, so I don't have a lot of free time. Both my job and my studies require me to work a few extra hours from home, so my free time is very, very short.

Normally, I test toys just before going to bed because I would masturbate at that time anyway to relieve stress and help me to sleep. I write my reviews during the weekend, often having one or two as drafts to publish later. If I had the time to take the photos or video, I would do it because I LOVE photography and video editing, but for now, I will keep taking the photos from our friends websites. Sorry guys! :(

Q: "Do you work for a sex toy store / seller?" - Various
NOPE! I don't work for any sex store or sex toy seller. I work for the New York City government in a regular 8-hour day shift, sometimes add two or three additional hours at home (without pay). My only relationship with sex toy sellers is that I use their products and write reviews about them. That's it!

Q: "Do you spend a lot of money on toys?" - Various
Way too much! In the past three years I have spent about $5,000 in toys (including the dolls, which are damn expensive). That is the equivalent of  about 715 beers I did not drink in the nearest bar or 385 cigarette packs I did not smoke. Well, I don't drink or smoke, so I buy sex toys!

The good thing is that in the past few months a few companies had contacted me to review their products, so they send toys for free. Part of the agreement is that I always write MY HONEST OPINION about their products on my blog. Some of them had stopped sending me products, others had continued sending them their stuff. That is cool, because they save me money and keep my only vice, which is masturbation!

Q: "Why do you have dolls and toys if you have a girl?" - J.K.
Very simple: I like variety. I have a partner since a few months ago, but she doesn't live with me. In fact, we see each other about twice per month thanks to our careers. The toys help me to avoid making stupid decisions because I'm horny - and she totally understands that. So the toys are not a substitute for a girl - they are there to help me stay on check!

Q: "How do you pick the toys you review?" - Various
When the companies send me a toy, I have no choosing about it, but I decide which ones I review on my blog. Whether I buy them or  I receive them for free, these toys must be available in the US, they must catch my attention for some reason, and most importantly, they have to be designed for male use. Some companies had sent me dildos, vibrators, or other stuff designed for women. I use them on my girlfriend, give the review to the company and then my girl keeps them. So far her collection of toys has doubled since we are together...

Q: "Which is the best masturbator?" - Various
The one that makes you cum and leave you happy.

In Puerto Rico we say that opinions are like belly buttons - everybody has one. Well, here we could say that opinions are like penises - we all have one. The toy that is my favorite could be total crap for you. If I say it is a meiki and you are a Fleshlight diehard, you are going to curse at me. If I say  it is a Fleshlight, then someone will say those are crap compared to Japanese toys. So since everybody has his own dick, follow its lead and find the best toy for YOU.

Well, that's all for today. Please remember to donate time, money, or things to the people that lost their homes during Sandy. Anything we do to help someone is good karma!

Answers to a few questions...

One of the great things about writing a blog is that readers ask questions on the comments area. Sometimes, answering these questions is easy - one or two lines would do - but often, there are questions that deserve longer answers, sometimes too long for a reply. So I have taken three of those questions and replied to them in a post. Lets start...

1. Which doll is better: the modified Aki or the Meiki Plush Doll? (Anonymous)

As I wrote in the reply, it is difficult to compare these two excellent dolls. For those of you that don't know what I am talking about, the Aki is a clear air doll from Japan which I modified with a pair of Quty Tits (see the review here and the mods here) while the Meiki Doll is a plush torso sold by ToyDemon (see my review here). Personally, I prefer solid dolls because they provide some resistance when you use them and they feel more realistic to the touch. Now, inflatable dolls have their good points, specially when dealing with storage. If you have a busted back like me, an air babe is a great option - no weight to lift, no effort to move it around. So, which one is better? Well, it depends on your preferences and your masturbators.

Both dolls have realistic measures, attractive curves, and excellent quality construction. If you want a doll that is easily stored when not used, then any of the clear Japanese ladies will do - Aki, Nana, Usahane, or Ren. All of these dolls accept small and medium sized masturbators (Toys Heart, Lilith, Succubus, etc) and can be dressed with your favorite clothes. If you want to feel like a porn star and shoot your "money shot" over her breasts or ass, cleaning is super easy - just wipe with a damp cloth or paper towel. They also are easy to modify with breasts masturbators like the Quty Tits by following the same procedure I used. Drawbacks? Air dolls are prone to develop puncture wounds, so be aware of any sharp object or abrasive surface. The price for your fantasies is about US$105 for the combo ($40 for the doll and  $65 for the Quty Tits).

On the other hand, if your masturbator collection includes a lot of larger masturbators like the Meikis and Fleshlights, the best option is the Meiki Doll. Yes, it costs twice as the Aki / Quty combo ($230), and money shots will be a pain in the ass to clean, but it will accommodate all your rubber pussies from the small ones to the huge Fleshlights. Storage is trickier - you will need a duffel bag or a closet to hide it - but if you live alone, it really does not matter. Also, any modification or repair requires at least having minimum sewing skills and equipent.

So, the best doll is the one that suits your budget, living arrangemments, and masturbator collection. Both the Aki and the Meiki are excellent options, so regardless which one you choose, you will enjoy it.

2. Which is the most realistic masturbator? (Various)

This is another of those difficult questions to answer. Why? Because "realistic" can mean anything you want it to mean. It can mean that its labia looks real. It can mean that the material feels like real flesh. It can mean that the texture feels like a real vagina feels. It can mean... well you get the idea. What is a "realistic" toy for me can be a total thud with you and vice-versa. For example, one of the most realistic toys in the market is the Meiki Maria Ozawa which a lot of people find too soft and not stimulating (I do not own a Maria Ozawa). Other guys will go 100% behind their trusted Fleshlight Vortex, which for me is the closest Fleshlight has gotten to a realistic texture (I haven't ordered the Bookworm, which looks promising).

That said, in MY opinion, three of  the most realistic masturbators are the Venus Real, the Meiki ZXY, and the Meiki Chika Eiro. Their textures are very organic - no straight tunnels, no extreme nubs or ribs, and no teeth or unnatural structures. Their stimulation level varies from the low (Real) to the medium high level (ZXY). There are many toys that feel realistic - Succubus 2D Wave, Lilith Uterus, Monster Kakusei, Sujiman Kupa Roa (review pending), Satori (review pending), and even the much maligned Fleshlight Lotus and Original textures - that it is almost impossible to declare a single winner on the realistic toy. After all, real pussies are different from each other...

3. "I bought toy X and didn't like it!" (Various)

I get this back on comments, emails and private messages all the time. The person reads one of my reviews, buys a toy I liked, then he doesn't like it. (The good thing is that nobody had blamed me of his decision... yet!)

Well, there are a few things I need to say about this situation:
  • Give the toy a few tries. Toys and our penises need some time to get used to each other - the famous "break-in" period. When I review a toy, I make sure that I use it at least 3 times before I review it. Sometimes it has taken me more than 5 uses to make up an opinion about a toy. So, get to know your toy before dismissing it to the recycle bin. Use a different lube / lotion. Change the quantity of lubricant. Vary the speed of masturbation. All those factors can make the worst toy a cool one to play with. I could not appreciate my Fleshlight Vortex until after I used it 12 times!
  • Have toys of different types. Do you know what DGS is? If not go here. DGS happens whenever your penis gets used to the pressure from your hand - but a similar effect can happen when your penis gets used to a toy's consistency or texture type. If you only use Fleshlights and suddenly change to a meiki, you will feel like fucking air because meikis are way softer and have a lower intensity than the Fleshies. If you are used to meikis and change to a Toys Heart toy, you will feel like fucking a sandpaper because the material used by ToysHeart is more rubbery and firm. You avoid that by having different toys with a variety of textures and firmness levels. Have a mix of realistic, smooth and highly intense toys and cycle them on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Be creative with your toys. Use two toys during the same session, alternating between them. Twist the toy, so your penis get different stimuli. Create games with them, like pumping to the beat of music or challenging yourself to last certain time before cumming. Sometimes being creative with a toy helps you to discover new things in them and make that toy you despise into your favorite. One example - my FL Maze. It is a weird texture, a hit-or-miss type. But when I had a dual toy session with the Maze and the Forbidden, I realized the Maze felt different. It was a hit. Now, whenever I use the Maze, I combine it with a smooth texture like the Forbidden or the Original, so I feel something completely different when I stick my penis in one of the toys.
  • Be gentle the first time. Like in real dates, if you go too rough on the first time, it won't end well. If you are using a toy for the first time, be gentle with it. Apply more lubricant than usual to "cure" the inside and allow your penis to slide easier into a new toy. Go slow, so you can feel the texture. Enjoy the ride.
Well, I have a few other questions I will leave to a future post.
