RPP 3.5: Mood Pleaser Thick Ribs masturbator (RPP #131)

After testing dozens of high-quality toys, now and then I like to try the low-end toys to see if I can find a good value. This is the case of the Mood Pleaser Series which mostly surprised me - check the reviews for the Beads and Zig-Zag - with the only disappointing model being the Thin. 

Today's turn is for the Thick Ribs model. Did it surpassed expectations like the Beads or was it a crappy one like the Thin? Let's go to the review to find out!

First Impressions

Like the other Mood Pleaser toys, you can identify the Thick Ribs thanks to its color - purple. The exterior of this line is exactly the same: small toy (about 5 inches long by 1.5 wide), simple orifice, hole-through design and textured exterior so it is easy to keep a grip on it. The interior texture is just a series of evenly spaced thick   ( about 1/8 in ) ribs made of the same UR3 material. 

Because of the UR3 material, I expected a semi-intense ride because the material is not too elastic and the toy is already on the tight side.

Review
I used the Thick Ribs as an insert with two of my dolls (Erika and Gisselle) and this little purple bastard surprised me. It is not too intense, but the ribs do their work, specially when they rub on the right spot on your penis. The ribs are spaced, so the sensations are not overwhelming,  but they cue you to pump deeper and faster - a sure way to get explosive orgasms when you are using a toy as tight as this one!.

I found the toy easier to use when penetrated through the lower end  - the funnel-type orifice proved again to be too tight for my apparently "not-so-little" friend. Either way, the ribs did their job making me cum after just a few minutes in the session.

Cleaning is super easy and fast thanks to the small size of the toy and its hole-through design.

Verdict:The Mood Pleaser Thick Ribs is a surprisingly good toy in the sub- $20 category. It is good for traveling due to its design and size - although it will be a small and uncomfortable toy for the above average guy.

RPP 3.0 #45: Mood Pleaser Orange (Zig Zag) (RPP #98)

Finally life is going back to normal, so I can come back to write reviews! Today's review is for another model of the Mood Pleaser line from Doc Johnson. The Mood Pleasers are a series of four sub-$20 masturbators, each with a different color and internal texture. I already reviewed the white model (Mood Pleaser Massage Beads), and today I will be reviewing the orange one - The Mood Pleaser Zig Zag.

Like the rest of the Mood Pleaser collection, the Zig Zag is a small masturbator with a very tight entrance and a modern design that does not scream "sex toy". It basically has the same external shape than the Mood Pleaser Beads, with the main difference  the color - the Zig Zag is bright orange -  and the the texture. Where the Beads had a nice regular array of massage bumps, the Zig Zag has a design of capsule shapes bumps arranged in a zig zag pattern. Like the other toys in the Mood Pleaser line, it is an open-ended toy designed to be used as a stroker.

Review

The MP Zig Zag is a simple - and effective - toy. The texture is basic, but well used, it does a good job on helping you to reach your orgasm. Forget about realism with this toy - the exterior design is completely abstract and the interior design does not even try to feel real. The job of this toy is to give something different when masturbating and, in that, it delivers.

The sensations are mild at the beginning of the session, but as your penis gets used to the toy and the lube is being used, the bumps and their zig-zag design become more and more noticeable. If you like to extend your sessions, stroking slowly, the Zig Zag will become a good toy for you because the sensations are at their best when hitting those bumps at slow speed. You will feel the change in direction of the bumps and you will be surprised by your orgasm. It won't be strong in intensity, but it will be long and pleasurable. 

If you prefer to go for a quickie, the Zig Zag also delivers enough intensity to curl your toes if you use a thinner lube that allows you to feel the bumps. Using faster strokes, the texture becomes intense, and you will be cumming after a few minutes.

Using the Mood Pleasers can be tricky due to the tight entrance. Personally, I don't even bother with it - I penetrate the toy through its back orifice, which is wider and a lot easier to penetrate. You have to remember that this is a small toy, so if you have a large / thick penis the Mood Pleasers could not be right for you. Cleaning is as easy as flushing with running water and then allowing it to air dry.

Verdict:
The Mood Pleaser Zig Zag is a good toy for beginners or if you want to add some variety for your foreplay. The texture takes a while to get used, but once you understand it, the Zig Zag is an entertaining toy to use. For about $15, it is a good toy to play with.
